A crucial and highly demanded activity at SAEL is the partial or complete reconstruction of Sectional Controls, as well as Rewinders, Cutters, Calenders, Super Calenders, Couplers, Vacuum Automation for energy savings, Steam Automation, Dough Preparation, Hood Automation, and much more. Levering the long experience acquired, SAEL can submit the most suitable solution to any electrical modernization requirement, pre-analyzing the existing control systems in the plants under modernization.

Among SAEL’s key strengths is the reconstruction – revamping – of existing machines, ranging from dough preparation to machines in the paper and cardboard industry.

The surveys we conduct, before formulating a proper offer, also aim to understand how to best secure the plants and streamline the operations that the operator will have to perform appropriately, without oversights, minimizing errors, and reducing production waste. All implementations consist of an architecture composed of an S7 1500 PLC; SAEL intelligent or market-standard drives, and a supervision-engineering station system that completely replaces any existing management, even the most sophisticated at the software level.
In the paper industry, SAEL has designed and produced a series of easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, and, above all, long-lasting DC and inverter drives. Some of our products, supplied 40 years ago, are still in operation at major paper groups. All are still repairable with original spare parts (all hardware developed since our inception is available for immediate delivery). The new “ONE Platform” drive series, active since 2007, replaces 100% of the first-generation ones. All developed hardware is compatible with the previous versions. Through the “System Integrator” division, SAEL can offer machinery refurbishments in the paper industry using off-the-shelf products/drives from brands such as Siemens, ABB, AB Allen Bradley, Parker, just to name a few.
